Two sides of me

The big hurdle right now is trying to write and record some new songs all from the comfort of my home studio (which has really come a long way, and is still very much a "Shoddy Equipment Studio") So far, the home recordings are pretty good, however they're all ME.  It's very clean, and the minute I get too "loud" I hold off and say to myself, "who do you think you are?"  This leads me to realize I have "two sides" (I'm certain as I progress I'll learn there are many more than 2 sides.)   Part of me wants to be soft sung & melody driven, while the other wants to get loud and bluesy.  With the dynamic I've got going (me & drummer), there's no way to keep the fidelity of the recordings (soft sung &  melody driven) in the live environment (loud and bluesy.) Its Twang v. Blues...Clean v. Dirty...Recorded Me v. Live Me...

And I'm ok with that for right now.

Welcome to my first completely random blog thought. Just wait until I get more comfortable with you...
